As part of a larger project OWS designed, manufactured and replaced two curtain wall fire rated screens which required upgrading to provide protection to a new escape staircases. The work had to be completed to a particularly tight timescale and included automatic swing doors. Products used were Aluprof MBSR50N EI curtain wall screens and MB78EI doors with glass from Polflam.

PROTECTED MEANS OF ESCAPE

Two fire rated screens were replaced as part of a larger project during the school summer holidays. These screens were required to provide a protected escape route down an external staircase and were also specified as fire escape doors.

As part of these works, we replaced fire stopping behind the existing cladding.
