Specification Sales Manager - Pyrostyle
OWS Fire Rated provide specialist fabrication and installation for a range of internal and external fire rated glazing products. Working with several systems, our offer includes windows, doors and curtain walling screens for varying levels of fire protection.
We exclusively offer the Pyrostyle range of internal glazed steel fire rated doors and screens. Projects are delivered into prestigious, high-value commercial and residential buildings with, values ranging from £20,000 to £1,000,000.
As part of our continued growth, a new role has been created to drive further awareness and specification of this product range.
Key Role Objectives:
- Working with architects, specifiers, main contractors, interior fit out companies and resellers to generate specifications and sales for the Pyrostyle range.
- Promote the Pyrostyle range through one-to-one meetings, tailored technical support and CPD presentations into the premier architect, design and specification sector.
- Pioneer new and develop existing relationships by methodical targeting of suitable prospects and projects that fit within the Pyrostyle project selection criteria.
- Establish strong relationships with a comprehensive network of appropriate architects and specifiers.
- Assist with translating clients requirements into a clear specification that can be fulfilled through standard Pyrostyle products.
- Obtain commitment to specify Pyrostyle products and where necessary create the detailed product specification.
- Log all new project to company CRM system to ensure complete project history and client requirements are understood.
- Facilitate the provision of quotations to ensure that Pyrostyle is acceptable to the project cost plan.
- Follow the procurement process to identify bidding and awarded contractors to ensure specification is held.
- Maintain a comprehensive awareness of Pyrostyle product range and benefits, and those of direct competitors.
- Maintain market overview to ensure product potential is understood and work with Sales Director to develop strategy to achieve this.
- Identify and refer opportunities for other product offerings from OWS Fire Rated.
- Work as a collaborative member member of the OWS BD and Estimating team.
Key skills and experience required:
- Significant experience in the project led construction specification sales environment.
- Ability to demonstrate previous success of selling a technical product / solution to architects, designers and the specification sector
- Strong contacts with architectural practices.
- Experience of delivering professional presentations.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ideally experience gained in the fire rated fenestration or door industry.
- Proactively works to identify new business and maximise repeat business.
- Ability to work methodically and autonomously.
- IT literate with good record keeping.
- Uses initiative and works under own direction, generating new activity and action
Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate will live within an easy commute to Central London and will be happy to spend 2-3 days a week in the London area.
